Fuzzy Math?
In two weeks we were able to complete one floor. That may seem slow to some and quick to others, but these two weeks equaled six working days (Subtracting weekends and four rainy days). Most of the work was accomplished during that terrific four day stretch of 65+ degree temperature. As we wait for the skies to clear tonight, we anticipate a delivery of steel tomorrow. Each W10 member will span 17 feet to create two large picturesque windows. Our steel fabricator will anchor the plates tomorrow and will hoist the steel on Thursday. We, also, expect a delivery of joists on Thursday.

In like a lion, out like a lamb?
The month of March IS a transitional month (Weather or not) for us and we've taken full advantage of the dry 50+ degree temperature. After a week and a half (The end of February) that brought us two blizzards we have pushed forward.
Here are a few images as of Monday (Hate to say it, but I forgot the camera the past two days. Fridays post will seem impressive):

Progress
As John and the crew work on these bitter cold, windy wet days, I've honored them with a creed (Similar to the 8th Ave Post Office inscription, but with a surrogate of a few words):

Joists Arrive
The joists (Douglas Fir No. 2 or better), for the second floor, arrived yesterday and after carrying them into the site and setting up the scaffolding we:
-measured the spans,
-cut the members,
-hoisted six individual pieces and fabricated two major girders.
The girders are 3 members wide and are sandwiched together using 3/4" diameter stainless steel ASTM threaded rods. These rods are staggered and connected every 16" O.C.
The girders (Shown in images below) are 6' apart and will support a 6' floor section where a major vertical chase wall (Along center bearing wall) will run utilities and duct.
There will be two more of these members on each floor in each building supporting and framing the stair opening (Rear back corner).

It's beginning to look a lot like...
a floor.

In just a few hours, two W10 x 38 members (Above image of 103 BP) were placed above two 10' - 6" rear yard openings while...
two (One for each front building facade) galvanized 4"x 3-1/2" x 3/8" angles were bolted to two 8" x 6" x 7/16" angles. These lintels will support an 18" high horizontal band of brick.
Tomorrow's another day, anticipating a large load of joists to form the second floor
